Introduction

Streaming services are good at tracking what you play, but they do not always show the music you actually love. Sharing a long, automated playlist link in your social media bio can look messy and disorganized. If you want a clean way to show people your true music identity, you need a more curated approach.

How to Show People What You Have Been Listening to Lately

Instead of letting an algorithm decide what goes on your music profile, you can handpick your favorite tracks yourself.

To keep your library organized, you can build custom categories for your tracks. Open the category creator menu, as shown below: How to create a new category in mymusicfm

To set up a new category:

  • Type a clear name in the input box (for example: "Synthwave," "Chill," or "Gym").
  • Select one of the color-coded dots to give the category its own distinct visual look.
  • Click the bright cyan Create Category button to save it.

Once your categories are ready, you can spotlight your absolute favorite tracks. On MyMusic.FM, you can select exactly six tracks to lock at the very top of your profile page. This pinned row acts as an instant visual showcase for the specific songs that define your rotation right now.

How to Create a Shareable List of Top Tracks for Social Media

Your social media bio link is important digital real estate. It should point to a dedicated page for your music taste rather than a confusing web address.

Step 1: Add Your Tracks from YouTube

Click the + Quick Add button in the top right corner of your dashboard. Paste any YouTube video URL into the box. The app automatically pulls in the correct title, artist name, and video artwork. Select your custom category tags and click Add to Collection
